Why monthly matters more than you would think
A single gift is genuinely good and genuinely welcome, and it is worth being plain about why a recurring one does something different. A one-time gift arrives, gets spent carefully, and then the question of next month is open again. A monthly gift turns a hope into a number. It lets a small organization stop guessing.
Concretely: this church owns no building. Every gathering happens in space that is rented or lent to us, and space like that has to be committed to in advance, before anyone knows who will walk through the door. The distance between “we might be able to” and “we can” is almost entirely a question of whether the money is predictable. The same holds for the steady, unglamorous parts of church life: the weekly Sunday gathering, the circle each new moon, the midweek study, and being available to someone in a hard week. Those things are made of continuity rather than of bursts.
Recurring support also takes something away, which is the constant asking. A church that knows roughly what next month looks like spends less of itself on appeals and more of itself on the actual gathering of people. You are not only funding what happens; you are funding attention that would otherwise be spent on raising funds.
Being part of the foundation
This church was founded in 2026. It is young and it is small, and neither of those is a thing to hide. What it means in practice is that a sustainer here is not one small contribution absorbed into a large machine. In a community this size, a single steady gift is a visible and material part of what a given month can hold. That is not flattery, it is arithmetic.
Whatever amount you choose, the word that carries the weight is monthly. Being a sustainer sits closer to being part of the structure than to being an audience for it: you become one of the reasons a room can be booked, a season can be planned, and someone who arrives months from now finds something already standing. If your circumstances change, you can write to us at any time. There is no expectation that a monthly gift is forever.
